OVERVIEW
The Honda QC1 is an entry-level electric scooter launched by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) that offers a blend of practical design, efficient electric power, and user-friendly features suitable for daily urban commuting.
KEY FEATURES
Honda QC1 boasts a sleek design similar to Honda’s Activa e: electric scooter. QC1 featuring smooth body lines, a front apron-mounted LED headlamp, a smile-shaped DRL strip, a single-piece dual-tone seat, and chunky pillion grab rails. It rides on 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and has flat floorboards for comfort. It is available in five vibrant colors including Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, and Matt Foggy Silver Metallic.
The scooter features a 5-inch LCD instrument panel displaying speedometer, trip meter, odometer, and clock, along with USB Type-C charging port for mobiles. It includes practical amenities like a 26-liter under-seat storage box, passenger footrest, carry hook, and pillion grab rails.
The QC1 runs on a 1.8 kW in-wheel BLDC electric motor with an IP67 rating, delivering a smooth, linear acceleration with peak torque of 78 Nm. It is offered with a single fixed 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which powers the scooter for a range of 80 km per charge. The battery charges via a 330W off-board home charger with auto-cut technology for safety.
Charging takes about 4.5 hours to reach 80% capacity and about 6.5 hours for a full charge. The scooter has two selectable riding modes: Standard and Econ, with a top speed of 50 kmph in Standard mode and 30 kmph in Eco mode.
The QC1 measures 1826 mm in length, 701 mm in width, and 1129 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1275 mm and ground clearance of 169 mm. It has a kerb weight of 89.5 kg, making it light and nimble for city traffic. Safety features include a combi brake system with drum brakes on both front and rear wheels, providing progressive and reliable stopping power.
PRICE
The QC1 was launched with a starting price around ₹90,000 in India, targeting urban commuters looking for affordable electric mobility. It is manufactured in Honda’s Narsapura plant near Bengaluru and comes with a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km, along with free services for the first year.
