OVERVIEW
The Tata Harrier EV is a flagship electric SUV from Tata Motors that combines robust performance, advanced technology, and stylish design, making it a top contender in India’s EV market. Launched in 2025, the Harrier EV is based on the Acti.ev+ platform and stands out as India’s first fully all-wheel-drive (AWD) electric SUV, offering both power and versatility suited for urban and off-road driving.
KEY FEATURES
The Harrier EV retains the bold and muscular design language of the standard Harrier but incorporates key electric vehicle design cues such as a closed front grille, aerodynamic alloy wheels with aero covers, and unique LED lighting elements. Its dimensions are 4607 mm in length, 1922 mm in width, and 1718 mm in height, providing a commanding road presence. One of its highlights is the dual-motor AWD setup available in higher variants, delivering a combined output of up to 390 bhp and 504 Nm of torque. This allows the Harrier EV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in around 6.3 to 8.5 seconds depending on the variant, making it one of the fastest electric SUVs in its segment.
The Harrier EV offers two battery pack options: 65 kWh and 75 kWh lithium-ion batteries. The larger 75 kWh battery supports the AWD variant and offers a substantial real-world driving range of up to 622-627 kilometers on a full charge, making it ideal for long-distance travel. Charging capabilities are impressive, with fast charging from 20% to 80% achievable in about 25 minutes using a 120 kW charger, and a full charge on a standard 7.2 kW AC charger taking approximately 10.7 hours.
Inside, the Harrier EV boasts a modern and spacious cabin with a premium gray and white theme. The SUV is equipped with a 14.5-inch Neo QLED infotainment display powered by Samsung with Harman audio and Dolby Atmos sound, elevating the in-car entertainment experience. It also features a fully digital instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, multi-mode regenerative braking with paddle shifters, and several drive modes including Boost, Sport, City, and Eco. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including level-2 features, enhance safety and convenience, along with a 540-degree surround view camera system to eliminate blind spots.
The Tata Harrier EV is built with safety in mind, featuring a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. It comes equipped with 7 airbags, electronic stability control, and multiple terrain modes such as Mud/Gravel, Grass/Snow, Sand, and Rock Crawl, enhancing its off-road capability. Practicality is addressed with a boot space of 502 liters, ample for family needs and luggage.
PRICE
The Tata Harrier EV is priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom), with 16 different variants catering to diverse preferences. Its availability and bookings have started to gain traction among EV enthusiasts looking for a premium, high-performance electric SUV.
