PMSM Motor, Suitable Range and Speed
The Ather Rizta is powered by a 4.3 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that delivers 22 Nm of torque. The motor enables the Rizta to achieve a top speed of 80 kmph, suitable for city commuting and highway rides. Acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h takes approximately 4.7 seconds, providing adequate response for urban traffic conditions.
Ather Rizta offers two main battery options: a 2.9 kWh pack with a claimed range of around 123 km per charge, and a larger 3.7 kWh pack that can deliver up to about 160 km under ideal conditions.
Battery Options and Charging
Ather Rizta uses a fixed, non‑removable lithium‑ion battery offered in two capacities: 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh.
The 2.9 kWh battery usually needs about 8 – 8.5 hours for 0 – 100% on the standard home charger, and around 5.5 – 6.5 hours for 0 – 80% charge. The 3.7 kWh versions charge quicker relative to capacity, typically around 4.5 hours for 0 – 80% and 5.5 – 6 hours for 0–100% with the faster bundled charger.
The battery pack is non‑swappable, IP67‑rated for dust and water resistance and mounted low in the chassis for stability.
12-inch Wheels with Disc+Drum Brakes
Ather Rizta uses 12‑inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres designed for durability and better handling at both ends. The Tubeless tyres sized 90/90‑12 for front while it is 100/80‑12 for rear, which are tuned for city comfort and stability.
The telescopic forks suspension for front and monoshock for rear gives a balanced, comfortable ride over bad roads.
Ather Rizta comes with disc brakes for front and drum brakes for rear, with CBS/combined braking on most variants, working with the 12‑inch wheels for confident stopping.
Dual Speed Modes
Ather Rizta features two main speed modes: Smart Eco and Zip. Smart Eco is designed for maximum range and efficient commuting with maximum speed around 60-80 Kmph which is ideal for relaxed city rides and saving battery.
Zip mode provides a more spirited ride with quicker acceleration and higher top speed, up to the scooter’s maximum of 80 Kmph.
Digital Display, Connectivity and Safety Features
Ather Rizta features a digital instrument console with two display options depending on the variant: a 7-inch colour TFT display on the Z variant and a 7-inch LCD display on the S variant.
The TFT display on Z variant offers full Google Maps navigation, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, call/SMS alerts, music control, push navigation, Alexa skills, and features like WhatsApp notifications and auto-reply SMS.
The LCD display on S variant is simpler but still provides essential features such as turn-by-turn navigation, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, SmartEco mode, emergency stop signal, and theft/tow alerts.
Both displays support digital speedometer, odometer, tripmeter, clock, and real-time ride statistics.
Ather Rizta comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features including skid control, emergency stop signal, tow and theft alert, combi brake system, side stand alarm, etc.
Generous Storage Options
The Ather Rizta offers generous storage options, making it highly practical for daily use. The scooter features a 34-litre under-seat boot that can easily accommodate daily essentials, groceries, bags, laptops, files, and most helmet.
Additionally, Rizta comes with an optional accessory called the Frunk which adds an extra 22 litres of storage, bringing the total combined storage to 56 litre.
Multiple Attractive Colors
The Ather Rizta is available in a variety of attractive colors, offering both dual-tone and mono-tone options. Pangong Blue, Alphonso Yellow, Cardamom Green and Terracotta Red are the option in dual-tone. Deccan Grey, Siachen White, Terracotta Red, Deccan Grey Mono and Pangong Blue Mono are the color options in single-tone.

The price of the Ather Rizta electric scooter ranges approximately from ₹1.09 lakh to ₹1.54 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and battery option chosen.
